Project module in Odoo16

Odoo is an All-in-one modular project management software. The Project module in Odoo is suitable to manage all types of projects and related activities in a clean and organised manner. By using the Project module, it is easy to create new projects, track their progressions, divide into sub tasks, assign to employees and so on.

This module provides the complete overview of all ongoing and helps to attain the complete information about the configured projects,



From Odoo home dashboard, you can select the Project module. It will direct to the main dashboard of the Project module.

The dashboard displays all the projects created in this module. The user can categorise the projects using Filters and Group By options, customise the projects. All projects are arranged in a separate tab along the project and customer name. The tasks assigned in each project are also present in the tabs.

The small dots at the right bottom of each project shows the colour code indicationing the progression of the project whether the project is On Track, At Risk, Off Track or On Hold.

On clicking the Tasks checkbox at the left bottom of each project the subtasks of each project and their progressions can be seen.

Upon clicking the three vertical dots at the top right corner of each project to the options to View tasks, Milestones and Project updates. Also to generate Task analysis and Burndown Chart using the Reporting option.

Users can set the Project module as Kanban and List view. The kanban view organises the tasks by stage. Drag and drop them like sticky notes and keep the pipeline neatly and organised. The List view shows all the data you need and allows you to perform batch actions.

Users can create new projects simply by clicking the New button at the top left of the dashboard.

A pop-up window opens up where users can give Project name, tasks, planned date, description about the project, set status and collaborators.

Upon clicking Settings options, you can set the visibility. Task management and Sales & invoicing allows to mark a project as Billable as it invoice the time and material to customers.

Using the Share Read Only button, you can share the project with customers and co-workers. This option only provides reading access to recipients. To provide editing access, you can share the project using Share Editable button

Fosters collaborations by involving customers by deciding what parts of the project can be viewed and edited by stakeholders. And manage all communications on a simple interface.

By following these, the user can create projects in the Project module in Odoo16. Users can effortlessly create, organise and manage new projects and divide into various tasks and sub-tasks in this module.
